Faculty Bio

Fonda Laughlin, MA, MT-BC completed two Bachelor’s degrees, one in music education with an emphasis in vocal performance from the University of Arkansas (2012) and the second in music therapy from Drury University in Springfield Missouri (2013). Fonda also recently finished her master’s degree in counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia (2014). Prior to returning to school Fonda was a piano and voice teacher for 25 years. Fonda now approaches teaching piano, voice, and guitar with an emphasis in complete musicality including, classical notation piano, chord approach for piano and guitar, rhythm training, ear training, and learning about different genres of music. As a board certified music therapist, Fonda is available to teach adaptive music lessons that approaches learning music in non-traditional ways. Adaptive music lessons are offered to any age student and will be tailored to the needs of the student to reach musical goals, as well as non-musical goals.
