Summer Leave Requests

CHSMA will prorate tuition for up to four pre-scheduled absences during the months of June, July and August.  In order to receive reduced tuition, the SUMMER LEAVE REQUEST FORM must be returned to the reception desk no later than THURSDAY, MAY 31st, 2018.  Please be aware that we are unable to adjust tuition after that date.  

If you are filling out leave requests for multiple students, please submit a form for each student individually.


When is CHSMA closed for Summer Break?  CHSMA will be closed from Tuesday, June 25th – Sunday, July 7th.  This closure, like our other holiday breaks, is already figured into the cost of annual tuition.

Can I change the dates I’ve requested for Summer Leave?  You may request a change before May 25th.   We regret that we cannot accommodate changes to your requested weeks of leave after that date.

We will be away for more than 4 regularly scheduled lesson weeks.  What are our options?  If it is a difference of one or two weeks, we recommend first speaking with your teacher to see if they can accommodate those lessons at another time.  You may also choose to stay enrolled and pay for the lessons even if you cannot attend them all. This option may make the most sense if only a few weeks are affected as it retains your spot and schedule with your teacher.  If you need to withdraw for the summer, remember to provide administration with written notice 30 days in advance of your last lesson. Please note, the $50 registration fee will apply when you re-enroll.
